Greenwood Car Show! (late post)

As promised, I bring you a whole bunch of photos of awesome cars, as seen at the Greenwood Car Show last month. If you know me, you know that I am a sucker for a '56 and '57 Chevy Bel Air!

Like this one!!!

Or this one!

Gotta love that blue!!! And the fact that the owner let me jump in to pose for some pics :)

There were some really unique cars there too! This beige one had a door that slid open to the inside!

And there were some crazy historic electric cars too. This one had the most amazing windows.

Gotta love the little poof balls!

There were cars made completely of wood that looked like they belonged on a race track too!

And of course there were the classics...

Mustangs...

Thunderbirds...

and old-school military Jeeps.... oh my!

This little rat rod was one of my favorites. I'm a huge fan of pinup art, especially the kind you find on the side of a plane or a rat-rodded out car!

Leila likes cars too!

I love this pinup girl!

And what car show would be complete without a Back to the Future Car?

I was very excited about something I saw sitting in the front of this car... After asking the owner....

He let me try on this AMAZING holographic hat!!!!

I think it looked great with my outfit!

All in all I'd say it was a good day! It was made complete by music on the streets, Seattle weirdness, and hanging with my awesome boyfriend and our even cooler dog.

Music!

Seattle weirdness.... (I have no idea)

See, I told you my dog was cooler than us.

So there ya go!

Urban Cowgirl

This is my first outfit post! I got this skirt in my mom's closet a few years ago. I find some of my best vintage items in the back of her closet. She keeps so much stuff!
H&M crop top, vintage silver and turquoise jewelry, vintage maxi skirt, Jeffrey Campbell Flagstaff studded ankle cowboy booties

I paired the vintage skirt with my Jeffrey Campbell Flagstaff boots, black crop top from H&M, and silver and turquoise vintage jewelry. I think I actually got the bracelet from my mom as well. The necklace I've had forever and the ring is an Ebay score. I'm also wearing my onyx and silver ring that I pretty much never take off. Onyx is good to keep negative energy away. I had an onyx ring when I was younger that I lost, and I final replaced it with this one. I'm on the hunt for a smaller one made of better material though so if you see any let me know in the comments!

Turquoise and silver ring and bracelet, Onyx and silver ring. H&M crop, vintage maxi skirt

The best part of this skirt is how much it spins! I had to get a few pics of me dancing or pretty much just spinning like a crazy person in my back yard. My dog, Leila, was really getting a kick out of it.

I got this skirt a few year back but I never seem to wore it. Being that we've had some beautiful summer weather here in Seattle, I figured it was time to give it a test run. It has a very country feel, so I figured pairing it with the cowboy booties and turquoise was a good call. I like the studs though, certainly gives them an edge :)

I posted this look on my Lookbook too! If you're a member feel free to drop by and give me some hype, or check out my other looks too!!

Cheers,

Graduation (very late post)

So I am restarting my blog! I am just going to go back in time a little and start with graduation (a month late! lol I'll catch up soon enough!). I figure that would be a good time to start since before that I just plain had wayyyy too much on plate to even begin to think about keeping up on a blog...

So I graduated! I got my bachelor of science in environmental science and resource management with a minor in marine biology. Obviously, nature posts will be a part of future blog posts, since it is definitely one of my passions. So here's some of my favorite photos from graduation, which, by the way, we totally got to dress however we wanted for! Yay for low-maintenace majors!!!
Justine and I were sooooo stoked!!!

So happy!

I did it!

The required class photo

And of course a picture with Dubs! (UW's mascot!!!) I literally got the best photo anyone has ever gotten with Dubs. Yaaaaay! :)

I had a lot of family come up. This is me with my Aunt Lorna and cousin Freddie on UW Campus. UW has the most beautiful campus!

And of course me in front of the fountain as well :)

I liked my outfit a lot that day. I was wearing my vintage fringe cowboy boots that I stole from my mom's closet. They're amazing. I was wearing a black dress with a vintage crochet vest (can't see it in this photo but I'm wearing it in the photos above. It was chilly so I was glad I brought my new Kensie sweater. My Aunt Lorna had just bought it for me. I LOVE the color. Topped it off with a black scarf and my H&M purse. I'm also wearing a long strand of faux pearls, my new single pearl necklace my parents got me for graduation, my onyx ring and my amber ring, and basic black earrings.  Part of my blog is going to be fashion related, posting OOTD and cool fashion things I see. But back to graduation...

It was really good to see my family. They live practically on the other side of the country, so I don't get to see them very often. And I can't even remember the last time I had both my Aunts in town at the same time!

As required, I made sure to go out for drinks one night with my little brother. He just got out of the military, so it's kind of like a celebration for him too... And tequila happened. :)

My boyfriend and I have a pet snake, and we managed to get both my little brother and my dad to hold it. He's a red tail boa and he is huge! He's probably close to 7 feet long right now. His name is Milo, and we actually think he's a she, but I'm so used to calling it a him that I just don't even bother. Telling the gender of a snake is apparently kind of difficult.

My dad looks nervous...

Well, there we go. My first blog post! I'm probably going to do my next blog post on the car show my boyfriend and I went to. I am a big fan of classic cars! More to come!

xoxo
